Oxberry are thrilled to have been awarded contracts for some major projects in recent weeks, one of which we would like to tell you about now. And that is our companies central involvement at One Hyde Park, where we are handling programming duties for two separate AV Installers that cover all 82 apartments in this incredibly prestigious development. As well as this we are writing code for the leisure facilities that will be enjoyed by residents of the biggest concentration of property wealth to be found anywhere on the face of the planet. Truly prestigious and very exciting.
The Write Stuff
Posted 4th September 2010 by Cliff
From August 2010 Oxberry Founder and Managing Director, Cliff Stammers, will be a regular columnist in the leading UK AV Trade Publication Essential Install. Cliff has agreed with editor Dan Sait that a monthly missive that documents a variety of facets relating to the weird and wonderful world of Custom Install, is perhaps quite a neat idea. And seeing as Cliff is in fact a frustrated writer, having almost completed two novels in his time; this is something that both Oxberry and Essential Install see as a win-win situation. But then we haven\'t considered the reader in that i guess!

Cut and paste the following url into your browser to read what Cliff was asked to write for the April 2010 edition of on-line AV magazine IE Residential. This is a small opinion piece regarding the role of Crestron Authorised Independent Programmers in a project, and how we are perceived generally throughout the Industry. As ever, drop me an email using the link elsewhere on this site, because all of us here at Oxberry are very interested to hear what you all have to say. Cinema of the month (part II)
Posted 18th January 2010 by Cliff
Another of our programming projects has just received a second accolade from Artcoustic in the shape of their Installation of the Month Award, January 2010. This time its for a project we worked on with Steve and Vince at Smart Media Systems towards the end of 2009. The same project is already due for a revamp, and we are very excited to be involved again from mid-february when a whole raft of new kit is being put in.
AV Awards. Congratulations to Crestron UK
Posted 12th October 2009 by Cliff
Congratulations to all our friends at Crestron UK for their terrific showing at this years AV Awards held in London last Friday 9th Oct. Having worked with their products for a decade now, it came as no surprise to us here at Oxberry that Crestron were awarded the AV Industrys most prestigious accolade, the Grand Prix Award. Crestron then made it a double scoop by being named Manufacturer of the Year as well. Very impressive indeed!
The Lightest of Touches

With Crestron lighting and Oxberry programming employed on a project, Lighting Designers can now simply set their own scenes without calling out a specialist company to help them do so. We have developed a code-set that means Lighting Designers can now use a browser interface to fade any number or type of lighting circuits and simply store the resulting settings to a preset that is recalled later by the Crestron program. The upshot of all this is that once a job is commissioned and the programmer has moved on to another project - the lighting designers can alter settings easily and quickly.
Cinema of the month

Artcoustic recently awarded their monthly accolade, Cinema of the Month for September 2009 to our friends at Neo Home for a project of theirs that we worked on with them just outside of Oxford earlier this year. This is a fantastic installation put together by Jason and the boys at Neo, and comprises just one part of a multi-room audio and video distribution facility driven by ethernet touch panels.

We at Oxberry are thrilled to let you know that two projects we have been working hard on in the last 12 months have each just picked up an award at Crestrons Annual Integration Awards Ceremony 2009. Work we have undertaken for both Impact at South-East Essex College, and for IVC Media at Guardian News Media Group were beneficiaries of an accolade at this years event. Both projects were singled out for special praise, with Crestron saying of the Guardian project in particular that this multimedia project impressed the judges for its sheer scale and quality.
Crestron give oxberry the green light
Posted 21st July 2009 by Cliff
Oxberry is thrilled to announce that we have now successfully fulfilled a series of criteria laid down by Crestron that qualify us to receive their Green Light accreditation. This makes us one of the very first companies in the UK to measure up to this very worthy standard that seeks to find ways to limit and manage energy consumption as we move forward into the 21st Centurys second decade. Oxberry is committed to working hand in hand with Crestron in identifying and developing new and convenient ways to control power usage in both major and small scale installations, consequently making efforts to control the carbon emissions of all of our projects as efficiently as we possibly can.
The Return to Cedia
Posted 21st July 2009 by Cliff
After a three year absence, Oxberry has chosen to reassociate itself with CEDIA once more. We enjoyed a four year stint within the, then fledgling organisation from 2002 onwards, and recent developments within the AV Industry have convinced us of the value of returning to the CEDIA fold. We are thrilled that they said they would have us back, and we very much look forward to working closely with them again.

Oxberry is very pleased to announce a tie-up with Intelligent Controls Ltd that will see the two companies working closely together in developing Building Management System control applications. Intelligent Controls is a well regarded provider of Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Control Modules and Software and they have been writing code for Brighton based integration specialists, North Building Technologies, for several years now. The company has a wealth of experience that we at Oxberry are very excited at the prospect of being able to learn from.

From July 1st, Oxberry is moving back to Chessington and in to our brand new purpose built offices, now that work is at last complete. We are very excited by this move as it brings us closer together as a company and means that all our planning and strategy will be a much more fluid process in the future. It also brings us geographically closer to London, with Waterloo being only 20 minutes away by train. To contact us by telephone the number now is 0208 397 5624.
Oxberry wins one award and is immediately put up for another

The British Council of Office have announced that one of our projects, at IPC Media, has recently been granted the Best Corporate Workspace award. Oxberry programmed a series of Meeting Rooms and Conferencing Facilities here in 2007 in conjunction with our friends at IVC. Latest news is that the same project is up for a further award at the InAVate Awards Ceremony at this years ISE in Amsterdam, meaning that for the second year running an Oxberry program has been included on a shortlist at this event.
